8th May saw the last auction this side of summer for Direct Auctions. The auction had been moved from March due to the little interest being showed and also all the easter holidays which made the season fragmented.
The room was reasonably well attended, approximately 30 attendees, incouding a film crew from Barcelona TV and reporting crew from the Daily Mail.
The 13 lots were offered, some with reduced guide prices as owners are keen to sell.
Three bidders in the room got some of the lots close to the mark but not quite close enough for me to bring the hammer down! But I am hopeful of tying up 2 or 3 soon.
One investor in the room wants to buy, but due to banking regulations making things difficult, finds it hard to find properties to fit his criteria.
The lots are all still available so if anyone wishes to make an offer, now would be a good time with owners open to anything reasonable.
I expect the market to stay like this for a while, so anyone having to sell, is going to have to accept the market conditions to get out fast.
All the wonderful articles that have been published in Ireland and England have mainly bought in more sellers and today has been no exception with 6 so far!
